Te UKSMG Summer Marathon

The UKSMG aims to promote and encourage activity on the Six Metre band and the Summer Marathon is an ideal opportunity to raise activity.

The UKSMG Summer Marathon is open to ALL amateur radio operators world-wide. (UKSMG membership is NOT required.)

We would like to thank Hannu OH3WW/OH1HS for his outstanding work prior to 2014 in developing this contest into a successful annual event.

The objective is to work as many 4 digit grid squares as possible between the first Saturday of May (02 May 2026 at 00:00 UTC) and the first Sunday of August (02 Aug 2026 ending at 23:59 UTC) on the Six Metre band.

The Marathon is now split into two sections as follows:

  1. 'Legacy' Modes
  2. 'Digital' Modes

Any QSO may be uploaded. The website will then sort the 'Legacy' modes from the Digital modes and present them in separate Standings Tables. You may enter either or both sections by managing the QSO' you upload.

Logs can be submitted until the 16th Aug 2026.
